“I focus on the human being. I am particulary interested in how they struggle with their basic existential predicament of isolation. My approach, which involves a minimalist narrative figuration combined with pop art and naïve elements, was developed to deal with the connection / isolation paradox, that also makes the actions in my images restrained and meditative. In my work, I explore those moments when the protagonists are either connected in some way but still experience their loneliness, or when they manage to find temporary relationships.”
